I take flowers grown around here and some store bought, and dry them. I find a place not too hot or cool and hang them upside down. I use clothes pins, and sewing floss. You can use whatever you want to hang them with. Once dryed I put a bunch about 6 to 8 flowers into vases. I use a bunch of dryed flowers pettles as a nice bed for these flowers in the vase, to see this through the glass is very pretty. I also, use a group of different flowers pettles together in a bowl as a potpori, it is lovely to pick the bowl up and take in a good deap breath of spring or summer every now and then, in the winter this is very important. The aroma therapy, can help so much in warding of deep seasonal deppressions, which so many of us suffer so badly from today. These little tricks, can be used and done by anybody. Even a floral sented soap or lotion can be helpful too, for people not so much into flowers, maybe for the guys the soap or even a candle or oil burner is the way to go. I use all of these personally, and it works very well, to lift my spirits for a few moments, then I go back for more and more, it can make a whole winters day seam like a summers one instead, wonderful!!! Visually too it can be nice just to see the flowers in there vases, even though dried they retain most of there apperance. Summer in the winter, and you didn’t have to pay for that expensive trip or hotel bills. Economic, you can’t go wrong here, really. My plans for more flower things, were to use them as foot soaks, and in oil burning for aroma. There are more on hold, such as adding them into homemade soaps and candles. That won’t before a while yet. Somthing to look forward too!!!
